Po Kue

An adult female green sea turtle released with a satellite transmitter on September 21, 2023 from Tortuguero National Park in Costa Rica. “Po kue” in Cabecar, an indigenous Costa Rican dialect, means “green turtle”.  She measured 117.2 cm curved carapace (shell) length and is part of a project to track green turtles nesting on the beach at the southern end of Tortuguero National Park.
